About
The person behind the name Martina Makes is Martina Štrkalj, a graphic designer and creative with experience in design, visual communication and education. She holds a master's degree in Graphic Design and Technology from the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb, and previously studied Footwear Design and Technology at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Varaždin. For several years she taught vocational subjects at secondary schools in Zadar and Zagreb, in the fields of (graphic) design and footwear. Today, through Martina Makes, she works on a variety of graphic, creative and educational projects.
In her free time she gardens, rides her bike – or “biciklu”, as people from Zadar say – and thinks about her next mountaineering trip through snow and ice.
